Last year, some 250 people celebrated The Prosperity Fund ‘s 2010 evening, sharing our vision to create a better quality of life for seniors in Ottawa. Last year’s event raised $20,000 to help long-term care facilities provide better care and more varied opportunities for our senior community.
The reception will feature a variety of snacks, hors d’oeuvres, and hot and cold food stations. Attendees will enjoy the signature Prosperity Fund martinis and other cocktails, and be able to test their bidding skills at our silent auction, which will include a number of great items at all price ranges. Guests will be entertained by the soulful and jazzy sounds of pianist and performer, Nathalie Khoriaty, who you can hear regularly at Zoe’s at the Chateau Laurier.
Our emcee, Kimothy Walker of CTV Ottawa, will once again entertain the crowd with her charming presence. We will also have a number of other special guests in attendance.
The event will also serve to announce the recipient of the 2010 Caregiver Appreciation Award, which was created to recognize the efforts of volunteer caregivers who devote their time and effort to improving the quality of life for seniors living in our community.
